on sisters & canadian summers

well hello there,
how are you?
just thought i’d check in,
see how you are,
share a photo.

my friend robin
dropped this little gem
in my inbox this morning
ha, doesn’t it depict
the friendship between
childhood friends just perfectly.
that’s her on the right,
the one kicking at her little sister.
hee, funny.

and how about their matching outfits.
she told me they were fresh from the family van,
that one in the background.

she said
she couldn’t imagine how her parents
dealt with her and her sister chi’s
insistent banter from one coast to the other.

over such a long canadian journey.
i laughed. i could so relate.

anyway, i’m crossing canada myself tomorrow,
not by van, but by airplane of course.
by van would be fun.
i’d like that too.
i do love an airplane though.
anyway, let’s speak in the week.

i hope your last days of summer
are filled with
family
and friends
and
laughs.
and
maybe even
a beer or two.

+ i’d like a copy of brian’s book.
+ i’m really happy for alyson.
+ an amazing set of salad spoons coming this sunday.
+ i’d like a new reverse seam, this one is perfect.

bye for now. xox, n.

My sons are younger than those two lovelies in the picture, but have a similar relationship sometimes. Ahh, childhood and siblings.

    Safe journey.
